The 2024 Cass County Fair Livestock Auctions are exciting and rewarding events! With the help of our wonderful buyers and volunteers, who make the auctions such amazing events for youth, we know this year is going to be just as great!
WHY BE AN AUCTION BUYER?
Our exhibitors spend a lot of time and hard work to bring their projects to the fair. Your auction purchase not only lets them know what a great job they’ve done, it also helps offset their expenses.
BEING A BUYER AT THE AUCTION IS EASY!
The Cass County Fair Livestock Auctions are a chance for exhibitors to earn money from the animals they have raised and prepared for the shows. The sale depends on the participation of buyers who are willing to invest in the future of the Cass County Fair exhibitors.
WHY WOULD I WANT TO BE A BUYER?
Being a buyer is great advertising for your business, and you are supporting a great cause! Exhibitors truly appreciate and remember their buyers, and they are future consumers and investors.
WHEN AND WHERE DOES THE SALE TAKE PLACE?
The large animal livestock auction will be held on Thursday, August 1st in the show and sale arena. It will begin at 10 am and will end when all the animals have been sold. The order of sale is as follows: Swine, Dairy Feeders, Milk, Beef, Lambs.
The small animal livestock auction will be held on Saturday, August 3rd in the show and sale arena. It will begin at 9 am and the sale order is Eggs, Poultry, Goats, Rabbits.
CAN I DONATE TO AN EXHIBITOR IF I DON'T WANT TO BUY A WHOLE ANIMAL?
Yes, you certainly can. You can make a tax deductible contribution directly to the exhibitor without purchasing an animal. The amount of your choosing is added on to the exhibitor’s sale amount. You may contact the auction office in person or by phone (269) 445-8265 during either auction to add any amount to the exhibitor’s sale amount.
THAT SOUNDS GREAT, BUT WHAT IF I CAN'T BE AT THE AUCTION?
That’s fine. If you wish to participate but are unable to attend, please email the fair at casscountyfair@gmail.com or contact Gail Peterson (269-591- 2206), Dean Hass (269-506-9067) or the auction office (269-445-8265) during fair week. Give us the name of the exhibitor, the animal you wish to bid on, the amount you would be willing to spend, and any other instructions you would like to be followed. We will take care of the rest!
