1. Prospective Board Members are requested to fill out a Fair Board Director Application

This request also includes the incumbents that are seeking re-election

2. All Applicants will complete an interview with the nominating committee.

a. This committee will be comprised of past board members, current board members, and community officials

3. The committee will ask all applicants the same questions and score accordingly.

4. This committee will set the ballot for the board elections, and it will then be presented to the fair board for approval.

5. Elections will take place on Tuesday, October 22^nd at the Annual Meeting.

This does not change anything in the election process except give Fair membership information on the candidates

as well as offer applicants the opportunity to have their name on the ballot. (transparency)

· Must be eighteen as of the current Fair.

· Cannot be a current youth exhibitor.

· Must attend monthly meetings.

· Be willing to sign a code of conduct form.

· Pass a background check.

· Must purchase an association membership no later than the November meeting of the current year.

· Must have previous history of volunteering in an area of the fair. (i.e., species, grounds, still exhibits, etc.)

· Participate in committee meetings.

· Serve on at least two active committees.

· Must be able to attend at least five work nights before the fair.

· Must be available during fair week and be on site.

· Work independently if cannot make any scheduled work nights.

· Help at non-fair events throughout the year.

· Help with after fair cleanup.

· In general, be available to help when needed.

· Attend workshops.
